Waves of Fun: Must-Do Experiences on Anthem of the Seas
Royal Caribbean cruises are known for their incredible entertainment and activities. From full theatre productions to high-energy games and unique attractions at sea, there’s always something happening onboard.
During our cruises aboard Anthem of the Seas, we experienced a huge range of shows and activities, some of which quickly became highlights of the trip.
Anthem is one of Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class ships, which means it offers some unique features you won’t find across the entire fleet.
While entertainment varies between ships depending on size, class and refurbishment, these are some of the experiences we enjoyed most on Anthem of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean Shows on Anthem of the Seas
Royal Caribbean has raised the bar when it comes to cruise entertainment, and Anthem of the Seas delivers some impressive productions.
We Will Rock You: A West End Musical at Sea
If there’s one show you absolutely shouldn’t miss onboard Anthem of the Seas, it’s We Will Rock You.
This isn’t just a typical cruise ship performance. It’s a full-scale musical built around the iconic music of Queen, with a talented cast delivering powerful performances night after night.
What makes the show stand out is the combination of:
incredible vocal performances
talented live musicians
impressive stage production
an electric theatre atmosphere
We were lucky enough to watch the show twice during our cruise, and both performances were packed.
Our Tip
Arrive early. The theatre fills up quickly, and the best seats disappear fast. Our kids were completely mesmerised and immediately asked if we could watch it again.
Spectra’s Cabaret at Two70
Another unique show onboard Anthem of the Seas is Spectra’s Cabaret, performed in the striking Two70 venue at the back of the ship.
Even before the show starts, the venue itself is worth visiting.
During the day Two70 offers:
panoramic ocean views
a relaxed café and bar
a great place to watch the ship’s wake
The evening show blends music, digital visuals and theatrical storytelling.
While it’s certainly different, we personally found it slightly less engaging than some of Royal Caribbean’s other productions and don’t recommend it. That said, many guests still enjoy the experience and the venue alone makes it worth a visit.
Venue Tip
Two70 gets busy quickly in the evening, so arrive early if you want a good seat.
Interactive Activities on Anthem of the Seas
Entertainment on Royal Caribbean goes beyond watching shows. There are also plenty of interactive activities throughout the day, especially on sea days.
Bumper Cars at Sea
One of the most unexpected activities onboard Anthem of the Seas is bumper cars. Located inside the SeaPlex activity space, this is a surprisingly fun attraction that appeals to both kids and adults.
Sessions run at scheduled times during the day and are listed in the ship’s app. Queues tend to move quickly and it’s easy to jump in and join the action.
Activity Tip
Check the Royal Caribbean app each morning for the day’s bumper car sessions.
Disney Quiz
One of our favourite activities during the cruise was the Disney Quiz.
Hosted in Café Two70, this 45-minute quiz brings together Disney fans from across the ship for a series of themed rounds.
Expect:
a lively host
some surprisingly difficult questions
plenty of friendly competition
Insider Tip
Arrive 15–20 minutes early to secure a seat. This quiz is extremely popular and fills up quickly.
Name That Tune
Another fun activity we enjoyed was Name That Tune, held in the main theatre.
Audience volunteers compete to identify songs across different genres while the ship’s entertainment team keeps the energy high.
The event includes:
mini rounds to select contestants
live performances by onboard singers and dancers
lots of audience participation
Even if you don’t volunteer, it’s a fun show to watch.
The North Star: Anthem of the Seas’ Most Unique Attraction
One of the most distinctive features of Anthem of the Seas is the North Star observation capsule. This glass capsule lifts guests high above the ship, offering incredible 360-degree views of the ocean and surrounding destinations.
It’s a truly unique experience and one of the features that makes Quantum Class ships stand out.
North Star Details
Usually free on port days
Often extra charge on sea days
Limited spaces available
Book early through the Royal Caribbean app
If you’re nervous about heights it might not be for you, but if you enjoy spectacular views it’s definitely worth trying.
Floating high above the ship with the ocean stretching out around you is a moment that really captures the magic of cruising.
