Liberty Lara Review: Is This Lara Beach All-Inclusive Resort Worth Booking for Families?
Finding the right all-inclusive resort in Lara Beach can be surprisingly difficult because so many hotels promise the same thing on paper — five-star luxury, huge buffets, massive pools and endless entertainment. Liberty Lara stood out to us for a slightly different reason.
Rather than feeling ultra-flashy or over-the-top, the hotel focused far more on atmosphere, service and making the overall holiday feel easy from the moment we arrived. And while some areas of the resort were still awaiting refurbishment during our stay, particularly the rooms, the parts that had already been updated gave a strong indication of where the hotel was heading.
What really made Liberty Lara memorable for us though wasn’t one single feature. It was the consistency of the experience across the entire holiday. From the quality of the food and the relaxed pool areas to the genuinely excellent service from the staff, this quickly became one of those resorts where everything simply felt well managed and easy as a family. And honestly, that matters far more on a beach holiday than people sometimes realise.
How beautiful is this view?
Getting to Liberty Lara
For this trip we flew from Birmingham to Antalya with Corendon Airlines after staying overnight at the Novotel Birmingham Airport before the flight. Even arriving late in the evening, Antalya Airport felt surprisingly efficient and we were through fairly quickly compared to many other busy holiday destinations.
We booked the holiday and transfers through Travel Republic, with the transfer itself operated locally by Koral Travel. Finding the driver in arrivals was straightforward and the transfer to Liberty Lara took around 20 minutes.
During the transfer I received a call asking whether a representative could meet us later in the week to discuss the return transfer details. Initially, I suspected this might turn into a fairly hard sales pitch for excursions or upgrades, but in fairness the representative was respectful throughout. They explained the return arrangements clearly, briefly mentioned available trips and immediately accepted when we said we weren’t interested.
It actually set the tone for the rest of the stay quite well — relaxed, professional and without unnecessary pressure.
First Impressions of the Resort
The first thing that stood out about Liberty Lara was how polished the outside areas felt.
The pools, walkways, restaurants and landscaping all looked modern, clean and very well maintained, particularly in the refurbished areas of the resort. During our stay, several outdoor spaces, restaurants and the gym had already been updated, and those newer sections gave the hotel a much more premium feel than some older Lara Beach resorts nearby. The atmosphere also struck a really nice balance.
It felt relaxed and family-friendly without becoming chaotic, while still maintaining a level of service and presentation you’d expect from a good five-star resort. Staff were visible throughout the hotel, drinks service was quick and there was a noticeable attention to detail across the resort.
One thing worth mentioning though is that the rooms hadn’t yet been refurbished during our stay. The planned refurbishment was expected for winter 2025, although timelines for these things can obviously change and it still hasn’t been fully refurbished in 2026.
Because of that, there was a noticeable contrast at times between the modern outside areas and the older room interiors.

The Room: Spacious, Comfortable and Very Clean
Our family room comfortably accommodated two adults and two children with:
one king bed
one single bed
and a sofa bed.
The room itself was spacious and extremely clean throughout the stay, which honestly matters more on a family beach holiday than ultra-modern styling.
That said, the room did feel slightly dated compared to some of the newer outside areas of the resort. It didn’t have the ultra-modern Lara Beach luxury feel you’ll find in some newer Antalya resorts, but equally it never felt run down or poorly maintained either.
The layout worked well overall, although fitting the additional single bed into the room meant there was only space for one bedside table beside the king bed. That also meant sockets and lighting controls were mainly limited to one side.
Hopefully the planned refurbishment addresses things like:
additional charging points
updated lighting
and more modern room technology.
The lighting itself was actually quite good though, with adjustable coloured ceiling lighting that gave the room a slightly more contemporary feel than we expected.
We unfortunately forgot to take proper bathroom photos during the stay, although with the planned refurbishment that probably isn’t the worst thing. Most importantly, the bathroom felt clean, spacious and perfectly functional throughout the holiday.
Food & Drink Was One of the Biggest Strengths
Food is often where large all-inclusive resorts can start feeling repetitive after a few days, but Liberty Lara handled this much better than we expected.
The main buffet restaurant, Myra, was large enough to accommodate huge numbers of guests with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Because we travelled during the off-season, breakfast outdoors wasn’t always practical due to the temperature, which occasionally made the indoor dining area feel busy during peak times.
To the hotel’s credit though, when things did start becoming slightly chaotic early in the stay, senior staff were visibly present helping manage the restaurant and improve the flow of service almost immediately.
That level of attentiveness summed the hotel up quite well overall.
The food selection itself was extensive across all meal times, with a genuinely wide variety of:
hot dishes
salads
breads
desserts
children’s options
and freshly cooked stations.
One of the standout features for us was the live noodle station in the evenings, where you could choose your own vegetables, noodles and meat before the chefs cooked everything fresh in front of you with different spices and sauces.
Lunches also felt stronger than the standard “pool snack” experience many resorts fall into. Outdoor cooking stations regularly served freshly cooked meats, burgers and other hot food throughout the day.
The desserts were also consistently excellent throughout the stay.
Drinks service worked particularly well too. Bottles of red, white and rosé wine were already placed on tables during lunch and dinner service, while staff were always happy to bring beers, soft drinks or anything else you needed without long waits.

The Pizza Restaurant Was Surprisingly Good
One of the most unexpectedly good food spots in the resort was the Kalynda Pizza restaurant near the beach.
The pizzas were freshly prepared to order rather than sitting under heat lamps, which immediately made a huge difference to the quality. Because of that there could sometimes be a short wait during busier periods, but honestly it was completely worth it.
For families especially, it became one of those really easy lunch options that worked perfectly between pool time and beach time.
The A La Carte Restaurants
Liberty Lara has three à la carte restaurants:
Turkish
Italian
and seafood.
During our stay we ate at the Turkish restaurant, which was excellent from start to finish.
The portions were generous, the service felt noticeably more premium than the buffet experience and the multiple courses made it feel like a genuine evening out rather than simply another meal inside the resort.
Depending on your booking package, one à la carte meal may be included within a seven-night stay, although normally there is an additional cover charge.
Interestingly, we never actually felt pressured to book every speciality restaurant because the buffet quality was already so strong. Other guests we spoke to rated the Italian restaurant particularly highly, while unfortunately the seafood restaurant still hadn’t reopened during our stay despite being due to.

Pools, Slides & Gym Facilities
The refurbished outside areas were probably where the investment in the hotel was most noticeable.
The gym had recently been rebuilt for the 2023 season and felt significantly more modern than many hotel gyms typically do. It included:
treadmills
bikes
free weights
resistance machines
and enough equipment for proper workouts rather than basic holiday cardio.
The adult-only pool was also one of the standout areas of the resort. During the lower season it was heated and children could still use it, although from around May onwards it becomes adults only.
In reality, the pool almost felt too large to be adults only because it was one of the nicest pool areas in the resort. Features like low-entry access points, built-in seating and water jets gave it a much more premium feel than a standard hotel pool.
The larger main pools also never felt overcrowded during our stay and there were always sunbeds available somewhere around the resort.
For families there were also:
water slides
children’s splash areas
and a smaller kids pool with water features.
The slides weren’t open continuously during the winter season, but there was still more than enough available for children throughout the day.
What Really Made Liberty Lara Stand Out
The thing we’ll probably remember most about Liberty Lara wasn’t one specific pool, restaurant or facility. It was the service.
Across the entire holiday, the staff consistently struck that difficult balance between being attentive without becoming intrusive. Drinks arrived quickly, issues were handled properly and there was a genuine sense that the hotel was very well managed behind the scenes.
That level of service elevated the overall holiday experience far more than flashy luxury design ever could have. And honestly, that’s probably why Liberty Lara worked so well for us despite some areas still awaiting refurbishment.
Would We Return?
Yes — without hesitation.
If the planned room refurbishment reaches the same standard as the newer pools, restaurants and gym areas, Liberty Lara will probably become one of the strongest overall family resorts in Lara Beach for travellers wanting a premium all-inclusive experience without stepping fully into ultra-luxury pricing.
Even before those updates though, the hotel already delivered where it mattered most:
service
atmosphere
food quality
cleanliness
and overall holiday experience.
For families wanting a relaxed Antalya beach resort with genuinely strong service and very good facilities, Liberty Lara is absolutely worth considering.
